“Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommend!
We had a fantastic two-night family break at the Cumberland Hotel. We booked a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and used Tesco Clubcard points which was a great bonus.
We arrived just before check-in, easily found parking, and were warmly welcomed. Although our room wasn’t quite ready, we were invited to use the outdoor pool – a real treat on a sunny day! The pool was clean, well-staffed, and perfect for families.

“We had a really nice 2 night stay, we checked in earlier as our room was ready, which was a lovely start.
The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful.
We enjoyed some nice food in the atrium bar, a lovely afternoon tea in the 1853 restaurant. And some nice 6 oclock gin on the terrace - all with fantastic service.
The only negative was the room was so hot it was uncomfortable, a fan was provided and was really needed. There...

“The hotel was really nice and the staff were very helpful. We were able to check in early as our room was ready and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out so we could go round the town.
The room was very nice, although the fridge wasn't very cold and one of the mattresses was very soft, a bit like a water bed but I slept ok.
Breakfast was amazing! The choices and taste, the services was very good and we weren't rushed to eat our food.

Love the views of Torbay and the internal architecture and furnishings of the hotel. It was a shame that the outdoor pool was closed but enjoyed the indoor pool / spa facilities.”
“This hotel is in a fabulous location on the cliff top overlooking the sea and has a lovely terrace where you can just sit/drink/eat. It has a very pleasant chilled vibe. The staff are helpful and friendly. Pool areas are good. Indoor pool is a good size. Lovely food. Double shower in our room! Beach is walkable (and fantastic!). I’ll be back! ”

Airconditionet bråket en del, men jeg hadde heldigvis ørepropper.
Hotellet hadde en hyggelig bakgård med sitteplasser hvor man kunne bestille mat og drikke.”

"Very nice stay. Hotel is in good position for both city Centre and temple meads station. The room was very spacious and comfortable. They clean it every third day for ecosustainability, it was not a problem though, because it was quite tidy to begin with. Staff was really helpful, I was offered a small upgrade at my arrival"
